The 3rd - 6th grade students will venture to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Once there, they will participate in a hands on lab and then explore the aquarium in smaller class groups. We will leave at 9:15 and return before the end of the school day.
Students will need: A packed lunch, a full water bottle, and a warm layer.
More about our lab:
Students will conduct close observations of the kelp forest habitat through hands-on activities using technology and models. Students will look for evidence and develop a food web to describe the movement of energy among plants, animals and the environment in the kelp forest.
